Police cordon off part of West Street in Southport after an incident in the early hours

Officers from Merseyside Police were called to West Street in Southport at approximately 5.20 am today (3rd February). The street was cordoned off with Police tape.

A witness nearby said that there appeared to have been a fight and somebody was injured. Shortly after this police were seen on Lord Street driving at great speed searching for anybody involved.
