Police deal with drug dealers in the Botanic Gardens in Southport

Following complaints of drug dealing in the area of Botanic Gardens in Southport, Neighbourhood Police Officers stopped and searched a group of men aged between 17 and 25 in Botanic Gardens last night. 

As a result, one was found in possession of cannabis and a second was found in possession of cannabis and a large amount of cash.  Both were dealt with by means of Community Resolution, one for possession of a class 'B' drug and the other for possession with intent to supply class 'B' drugs. 

The parks and gardens of Southport and the surrounding area will continue to be patrolled both day and night time.
