Police are investigating a series of business burglaries that took place in Southport, overnight between midnight on Tuesday 22nd August and 06:00am on Wednesday 23rd August. One man has been arrested and remains in custody.

The locations have all been visited. CSI have attended where there was a possibility of finding evidence, PCSO's have conducted CCTV enquiries and further investigations have followed.

We now have a timeline of the events however, a blue metal cash tin found in St. Lukes Grove has not been identified as to where it may have come from. A similar blue tin was recovered in Churchtown as part of the response to one of the burglaries, but it is possible that this tin has come from another location, and has not yet been reported to us.

If you believe you have information as to where this tin may have come from, please contact the Neighbourhood policing Team at Southport Police station at the following e mail address, with your contact details and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
