Police investigating thefts from motor vehicles in the Southport area

Police are investigating  a series of thefts from motor vehicles in Southport. Offenders are looking for vehicles left unlocked or are smashing car windows to gain entry and steal items of value left inside the vehicles. 

Investigations continue however, these type of offences can be reduced by  double checking that vehicles are left locked and always removing anything of value when you leave your vehicle. 

Never leave anything on view in your vehicles; Not bags, coats, headphones, carrier bags. Even small change left in your car could be the reason someone breaks into your car.
