Police say avoid walking along the sea wall in Southport this weekend

Merseyside Police said....

The Met Office have issued a yellow warning for high winds on the north west coastline for this weekend. Gusts of up to 50-60mph may occur on coasts and high ground areas. Should this occur pedestrians are advised against walking the Sea Wall at Southport and other coastal paths.

Drivers of high sided vehicles and caravans should avoid costal routes.
In land, there will be potential for flying debris. Garden furniture such as wheely bins, trampolines, benches should be secured where possible.
