Police searching open land next to the Pier in Southport

Further open land searches took place in Southport and Formby yesterday. In Southport areas around Bedford Park and the seafront area were searched.

In Formby, Duke Street Park was searched along with passageways leading away from the park area. Two locking knives were found hidden in these areas and a third similar knife was found in one of the Southport areas.

Knife crime education work continues in schools across the area throughout the year. Not just in weeks of action such as this.
