Police searching Union Street in Southport after 82 year old man has his wallet stolen

Police were searching Union Street in Southport this morning after an 82 year old man had his wallet stolen last night.

The thief was caught and is in custody. The man who was robbed is fine.

Although the thief was caught the man's wallet has not been recovered. It was discarded in the Union Street area or possibly in the gardens outside The Grand.

If anyone has found a wallet in this area please hand it to the police.
