Police stop and search on Park Road in Southport

Officers from Merseyside Police pulled over the driver of a black VW on Park Road this morning (23rd April).

The male driver was placed in the police car as officers searched his vehicle. It is not known if anything was found . A witness near to the scene said the police drove off with the man still in the police car. The car is still there with no sign of the driver.

The police press office has been approached for a comment.
