Police update on what they will be doing in Southport for the rest of the day

Good afternoon from Team 1 of the Local Policing Team at Southport Police Station.

Today we will be taking over management of a crime scene in Southport from Team 2 and conducting searches for two young people, missing in the Southport/Formby area. 

For any Ainsdale residents who are free this evening, there is a chance to meet with one of your Ainsdale dedicated officers between 5:00pm and 7:00pm at the new Ainsdale Community Police Station on the Southport bound platform of Ainsdale Railway Station. Please come down to discuss any issues you wish to raise, with a representative from the Southport Local Policing Team.

Elsewhere we will be conducting patrols of the parks and gardens of the Southport area in particular, following two assaults of young people that have taken place in local parks over recent days. Both of which are under investigation.
