Police warning, beware of Frost Jackers

For the first time this winter we need to warn drivers... BEWARE OF FROST-JACKERS!
Frost jacking is when car thieves target vehicles for theft, while the owner is de-frosting the vehicle with the engine running.

Lives have been lost by vehicle owners trying to stop thieves stealing their vehicles in this way.
It will take longer, but take the time to defrost your car before you put keys in the ignition and reduce the risk of becoming a victim of this type of vehicle theft. Your insurance may also be invalid if your car is stolen with the keys inside it.

And leave nothing of value in your car, not even a carrier bag on a seat.
