Positive CQC ratings for Trust’s Maternity Units

Following short-notice inspections of both Whiston and Ormskirk Maternity Units by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in December 2023,  we are pleased to confirm that Whiston Maternity Unit has maintained its rating of ‘Good’ across all standards and Ormskirk Maternity Unit has seen an improvement in its rating in the Well-Led standard, and is now rated ‘Good’ overall. 

Special mention was made in both reports of the positive culture at our Trust and how staff consistently put the needs of women, their babies and their families at the heart of everything they do.
