Power failure brings disruption to Merseyrail services

Due to failure of the electricity supply between James Street and Hamilton Square the Wirral line is disrupted. Disruption is expected until 12:30 22/03.
Impact:

Train services from Chester will be terminated at and started back from Birkenhead Central.

Additional Information:

Ticket acceptance is in place with Transport for Wales on their services between Liverpool and Chester and vice-versa, a rail replacement bus service has been requested to run between Birkenhead North / Birkenhead Central and Liverpool.

Ticket Acceptance is in place with Arriva Buses until 12.30pm
