Pressure Eases for Southport as They Seek Tenth Win on Road
Southport make their first ever league (In NL Football) visit to South Shields on Saturday. Kick Off is at 3pm.
Having secured our National Nortb saftey with the 3-0 win against Rushall on Saturday the pressure is off but manager Jim Bentley wants to end the season on a high and gain a tenth win on the road this season.
South Shields on the other hand must win to stay in with a chance of the play offs and hope other results go their way. Boston’s win against Banbury on Tuesday night puts them in 8th place.
Spennymoor home to King’s Lynn, Boston, away at Hereford and Curzon Ashton away at Bishop’s Stortford are all in contention for the final two play off places along with Shields.
A big gate is expected and buying a ticket in advance is strongly recommended.
We have received some useful information from our hosts for anyone making the trip up to the North East.
