Quick Police Response Leads to Arrest Following Trespass Store Vandalism

A 32 year old man was arrested recently, on suspicion of burglary, after a member of the public reported a man smashing the windows of the Trespass store on Lord Street shortly before 06:00am on Monday 7th August.


Patrols based at Southport Police Station were able to respond to the 999 call and make the arrest at the scene.
The man is currently on bail, pending the results of forensics.


CCTV is always checked at incidents such as this, but in this case it was the actions of a member of the public that helped us make the arrest. So please, if you see people acting suspiciously around shops, offices and homes, make the call, so that we can check it out. You could make the difference.
