Race for a Place in FA Cup First Round: Southport Vs. FC Halifax

Southport return to FA Cup action tomorrow with the visit of in form, high flying National League side FC Halifax Town.

The kick off is at 3pm and it is an all pay game. Tickets can be ordered online up until kick offhere. There is no reserved seating for this game.

Tickets are priced at Ground & Main Stand £14 Adults  Concession £11  Junior £6  Child Under 12 £1. It is a segregated match.

Printed matchday programmes can be ordered (up until 7pm Friday) for post out or click and collecthereand pre-ordering is strongly advised. Subscribers need to order a programme as cup games are not included in the subscription price.

Our September Player Of The Month will receive his award on the pitch ahead of kick off.

We have our very special guest in attendance, 99 year old former Halifax and Southport player and Southport manager Trevor Hitchen the oldest surviving former Football League manager and the 7th oldest surviving former FL player.

The weather is set fair and a good crowd is expected with a place in the Emirates FA Cup First Round draw at stake.

We have played Halifax Town and FC Halifax on many occasions in the past, the last time was a behind closed doors game due to COVID in 2020-21 which we won 2-1 at The Shay.

Former fans favourite Josh Hmami is in the FC Halifax ranks and they come here in great form winning their last five games. So far this season they have won 4 drawn 1 and lost 3 on the road.
