Sand Storm across Southport sea front

Large amounts of sand are building up along the Marine Drive as high winds from Storm Floris yesterday and continuing into today batter Southport. Some of the sand is drifting and starting to accumulate on the road surface.

With very low tides at the moment large areas of sand are being scoured by the winds. The winds are expected to reduce gradually during the evening
