Sefton Council not enforcing the "No Dogs" zone on Southport Beach
With the sunny weather set to continue many people are heading to the beach for a day out. One thing that many people look for is a beach where dogs are banned. Lots of people are scared of dogs, especially small children.
Southport and Ainsdale beaches are supposed to be dog free. Southport beach is not dog free as there were many dogs on it today.
Sefton Rangers who patrol the beach do nothing about it. The man who collects the entrance fee can clearly see into peoples cars and see if there is a dog in it.He does nothing about it as well.
Sefton Councils website states...
"There are two beach dog exclusion zones in place from 1st May to 30th September:
Southport beach is free of dogs starting from the Pier south towards Pleasureland (for 555m) and to the tide line
Ainsdale Beach is free of dogs 200m either side of the main beach entrance and to the tide line"
The Council has been approached for comment.
