Sefton Council replace Birkdale in Southport living Christmas Tree with an even worse one

Sefton Council have replaced the living Christmas Tree in Birkdale with a new one after residents complained about the state of the tree that has been there several years.

It looks like it has been dragged around Southport tied to a back of a car.

Its been there for a few years. It was just a skinny and sorry looking when it went up and its not much better now.

It’s the worst Xmas tree I’ve ever seen. I’m embarrassed for them.

A Sefton Council spokesperson said “The current, living tree in Birkdale is due to be replaced this week, weather permitting.

“The Council has been in touch with Birkdale Civic Society, whose members look after the tree, to let them know.”

The Council have replaced it today with this.
