Sefton Launches Family Life Toolkit: Virtual Hub for Local Families
Sefton Council is proud to announce the official launch of its Sefton Family Life Toolkit, a virtual family hub designed to make it easier for families to access trusted advice, guidance and support services all in one place.
The new portal, available now, brings together a wide range of information for parents, carers, children and young people, helping them find the right help at the right time.
Right help at the right time
Covering everything from early years support and health services to education, SEND, and parenting advice, the toolkit represents a significant step forward in improving accessibility and connectivity across services in Sefton.
A key feature of the Family Life Toolkit is its integrated booking system, making it easy for families to browse and book onto local services, activities and support sessions directly through the platform, removing the need to navigate multiple systems.
Trusted live chat
To further enhance user experience, the platform includes an innovative live chat function. This allows users to ask questions and receive instant responses drawn directly from the content within the portal itself, rather than external sources, ensuring that all information remains accurate, and trusted.
Users can explore freely and securely, with the option of personalised pathways that provide a consistent stream of guidance and support, gently guiding families to relevant information, reminders, and local services at the right time.
The site also offers multiple language options and automatically adapts to the default language settings on a user’s device, ensuring that more families can access information in a way that works best for them.
Download as an app
In addition, families can download the Sefton Family Life Toolkit as an app to their smart phone or tablet providing a more streamlined and personalised experience and ensuring they can easily access the full range of tools and support on offer wherever they are.
Accessible features
Further strengthening accessibility, the portal includes an audio-enabled search option, allowing users to speak directly into the platform to find relevant information quickly and easily. This makes sure those who may prefer voice navigation or have additional accessibility needs are supported.
Cllr Diane Roscoe, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Families, said:
"The launch of the Sefton Family Life Toolkit marks an important milestone for Sefton. We know that families want clear, reliable and easy-to-access information, and this new family friendly platform delivers exactly that. By bringing services together in one place, we are helping families get the support they need more quickly and confidently."
The new portal is part of Sefton’s wider commitment to strengthening early help for families, improving outcomes for children and young people, and delivering more joined-up services in line with national priorities.
Families, professionals, and community partners are all encouraged to explore the new portal and discover the wide range of support available.
