Visitors to the Sefton Open exhibition are encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork on display. The artwork with the most votes is awarded The People’s Prize.

So many votes cast

Curator of The Sefton Open, Jemma Tynan, said: “It was wonderful to see so many votes cast by the public, most artworks received at least one nomination!

"The People’s Prize is always competitive and comes down to a handful of extra votes to secure the win. This year, I am happy to see the prize awarded to a young artist at the beginning of their professional career. Watch this space!”

Visitors can also support local artists by investing in their work, most artworks are available to purchase through The Atkinson and the Own Art Scheme. The scheme makes buying art easy and affordable by letting you spread the cost over 10 months with an interest-free loan.
