Sefton's Aspiring Entrepreneurs Invited to Harness Expert Guidance at InvestSefton Sessions

start

Budding entrepreneurs in Sefton thinking about starting a business are invited to two free InvestSefton events at Maghull Town Hall on Wednesday 17th July.

During the sessions, which take place from 3pm to 5.30pm and 6pm to 8pm, experts will be on hand to provide  help and advice on starting a business. This includes how to produce a comprehensive business plan, create financial forecasts. They will also cover subjects such as understanding the costs of running a business and accessing start-up finance

InvestSefton launched business start-up support as part of their wider business services in March. The team has partnered with local providers Merseyside Expanding Horizons and Safe Regeneration to deliver activities across Sefton including the Maghull events.

Both sessions are free. Anyone wanting to go along can book a place by emailing [email protected]  or calling 0151 934 3452.

Stuart Barnes, Sefton Council's Assistant Director for Economic Growth & Housing said:

“We know that lots of people in Sefton have great ideas for new businesses but feel they don’t have the information they need about the process, the practicalities and importantly, ways to finance their start-up.

Our events at Maghull Town Hall on 17th July are aimed squarely at those people. They will provide answers to these questions and help those people take the first steps on the journey to starting their own business”.

Over 25 potential entrepreneurs attended the first of these business start-up events in Southport in May. Those who attended had the opportunity to meet the teams and hear about the support on offer. They also met up with other entrepreneurs and heard inspirational stories of when they started their own businesses.
