Serious accident closes Preston New Road Southport

The emergency services were called to Preston New Road in Southport this morning just before 08.00 after at least three vehicles collided at the Fairhaven Road roundabout.

Paramedics treated several people for what are believed to be minor injuries.

Rush hour traffic was diverted around the scene while an investigation into the cause of the accident was carried out.
