Serious Collision on Marine Drive in Southport: Road Closure in Effect

Police can confirm emergency services are currently in Southport following a serious collision this morning (Wednesday 24 December).

At around 5.30am, we received a report that a collision had occurred on Marine Drive, near its junction with Hesketh Road, involving a car and a male pedestrian.

A road closure is currently in place at the scene and motorists are advised to avoid the route while emergency services deal with the incident.
