Serious incident in Birkdale Village in Southport.Emergency services on scene

The emergency services were called to Birkdale Village in Southport early this afternoon.

Witnesses said that a man suffered a heart attack in his car.Members of the public comforted the man until the emergency services arrived.

The Air Ambulance is also in attendance after landing nearby.

Diversions are in operation.
