Serious incident Southport Station. Person found unconscious

Officers from Merseyside Police were called to Southport Station early this morning after what is believed to be a homeless person who was sleeping rough in the entrance was discovered to be unconscious. Their belongings are scattered all over the pavement.

Paramedics are at the scene which remains cordoned off to the public. Entrance to the station is via London Street.

The condition of  the person is not known at the moment.
