Serious RTC in Virginia Street Southport as car overturns with occupants trapped inside

The emergency services were called to Virginia Street in Southport at approximately 1.20 following reports of an accident.

A driver has lost control of their vehicle causing it to end up on its side. Fire service were removing the roof and doors of the vehicle to extract the occupants.

Their condition is not known at the moment.

Virginia Street is blocked in both directions as rescue services deal with the incident.
