Shocking details emerge as Crosby man sentenced for eight counts of voyeurism

South Sefton Neighbourhood Team welcome the sentencing of Tyler ROGERS, from Crosby, after he plead guilty to eight counts of voyeurism, and one count of making an indecent image of a child. He also admitted possession of a Class B drug, Cannabis.


On Thursday 29th June 2023 ROGERS was sentenced to 16 months in prison and a 10 year sexual harm prevention order at Liverpool Crown Court.


On Thursday 25th May 2023 ROGERS attended Crosby Leisure Centre where he concealed his mobile phone in a black sock with a hole in it before sliding it under the door of a cubicle where a 15-year-old girl was changing. The girl noticed what was happening and went to her mother's cubicle in tears. ROGERS fled the scene before he could be detained.

 Merseyside Police were subsequently contacted and with enquiries being made that identified CCTV footage showing ROGERS in fleeing the location. As a result of this CCTV footage, on Tuesday 30th May 2023 officers from South Sefton Neighbourhood Team managed to locate and arrest ROGERS in the area of Burbo Bank.


Following his arrest of search of his home it was it was later revealed that the 15-year-old was not his only victim, as pictures and recordings of seven other females in various stages of undress were discovered on his phone. All recordings were identified as having been taken in the Crosby Leisure Centre changing rooms between 12th May and 25th May 2023.


ROGERS was remanded in custody following his arrest and guilty pleas, and ultimately sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 29th June 2023. He was sentenced to 16 months in prison and a 10 year sexual harm prevention order. Additionally, social services have ordered he not return to his family home, where his two younger siblings live, when he does get released from prison.
