Signalling fault disrupts trains between Liverpool Central and Southport
Train services between Liverpool Central and Southport were disrupted on Tuesday, 14 July, after a signalling fault between Waterloo and Blundellsands & Crosby.
Merseyrail warned that trains on the Southport line could be delayed. The disruption was expected to continue until 5pm.
Waterloo and Blundellsands & Crosby are stations on Merseyrail’s Northern Line, which runs between Liverpool Central and Southport.
Passengers were advised to check the latest service information before travelling, as the situation could change during the day.
