Southport 1 Morecambe 3

 Southport's final home pre-season game ends in defeat against a very impressive looking Morecambe side.

Despite the defeat Liam’s aim of getting the minutes in to the legs was achieved.

The Southport golascorer was Josh Hmami who got on the end of a lovely flowing move to finish really well. That brought the score back to 2-1 and was in a spell that saw some good Southport pressure at the start of the second half but less than a minute later Morecambe regained the two goal advantage.

We move on to three aways games starting in the Isle Of Man on Friday night.
