Southport 1 Worksop Town 1
A third league draw in a row and the unbeaten run in all competitions stretches to 11 games at Haig Avenue this afternoon.
Southport took the lead in the 13th minute through Tom Moore with our first headed goal of the season.
Southport had chances to increase the lead but our visitors also threatened to bring the scores level before the break with Chris Renshaw having to be alert in the Southport goal.
It was ened to end in the second half but neither side produced any serious goal threat before Jordan Burrow equalised in the 75th minute following up on a good save by Renshaw but it fell straight inti the path of the alert Burrow to prod home from close range.
Over the 90 minutes a draw was probably the right result and neither manager could complain at a point each.
