Southport Air Show workers facing a nightmare on the beach as vehicles become stuck

Workers who are setting up the Southport Air Show are facing a nightmare today as their vehicles become stuck in the mud and soft sand.

Several vehicles had to be pulled out by a tractor. People moving their catering units across the beach were struggling to reach their allocated pitch. Parts of the beach now resemble a ploughed field.

The Air Show starts at noon on Saturday with the Red Arrows.
