Southport Beach still closed for parking as RNLI Lifeguards return

Visitors to Southport have been left disappointed today to find that the parking on the beach is closed despite the glorious weather. The RNLI Lifeguards were on duty to keep an eye on anybody brave enough to swim in the chilly sea which according to the sign was 8c.

A spokesperson for Sefton Council commented on the beach being closed for parking...

"The ground is still too wet and muddy from previous high tides and any domestic car would likely become grounded if it drove on"

The Pier remains closed as well.
