Southport Christmas Parade statement

Hey guys first off can we just take the time to thank every single one of you guys for coming out to support us yesterday in the cold weather it truly means the world to us.

We have seen some disappointing comments that we just like to address to you all
Not a Santa Parade? Not once have advertised We are a Santa parade, we are a vehicle only light parade and with that we are the biggest vehicle light parade in the North West,

Yes we call it a Christmas parade because everyone takes the time to decorate their vehicles with Christmas lights.

No Santa? We know a lot of you waited to see Santa, unfortunately 5 minutes before set off we had confirmation that the Santa float could not make it, which we were truly gutted about, and with having only 5 minutes to spare we couldn’t sort anything out as you all waited long enough for us,

Time Delay - we know a lot of you waited longer than expected for us to arrive at certain destinations, this is due to the traffic on the road and people watching stepping out into the road to stop us from moving, We always ask for you all to please stay on the pavements to watch us and let’s all be safe,

Collection Buckets - A lot of you guys have asked where the collection buckets where, unfortunately we have been told that everyone taking part in the parade MUST be on a vehicle as we aren’t allowed walkers

Live Feed Hacked - when we had planned to go Live for the whole parade so people could watch but some nice person had hacked our page to try and scam you and take money off you, if you clicked the link and entered your bank details please get in touch with your banks and get this stopped ASAP
