Southport FC coach and friends to take on three peaks challenge in aid of Queenscourt Hospice

In Mid July, one of Southport FC’s Community Coaches Martyn Farrell, and 8 other “MadMen” are raising funds for Queenscourt Hospice and the Darby Rimmer Foundation, by putting themselves through the rigorous 24 Hour Three Peaks challenge of Ben Nevis, Scarfel and Snowdonia.

Martyn will be joined by Phil Parkes, Paul Blane, Mike Parkes, Phil Clinton, Michael Sutton and Richard McNally, all of whom are members of local Fitness company Blast Men’s Training, who will also be joined along the way with its owner Mark Poole and Fitness instructor Tom Iddon, who will be providing extra motivation to help them finish!

Local Charity Queenscourt Hospice provides support for the local community in and around the Southport area, caring for patients with serious illnesses enabling them to get the best possible care throughout their time there.

The Darby Rimmer Foundation, was set up by former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton footballer Stephen Darby, and is there to support sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease.
