Southport Football Club form partnership with Lourdes Deli
Last season, Lourdes Deli provided matchday catering outlets at both the Jack Carr Stand home end and the Blowick Terrace away end of our Haig Avenue stadium.
In fact, they proved to be such an instant hit with our fans that their food offerings went instantly viral on social media with over 76,000 reactions within a matter of hours after their delicious “Dirty Fries” offering of fries, bashed burger, sausage, onions and cheese was featured on Twitter by @FootyScran.
We are now delighted to announce that we have extended our commercial partnership with Lourdes Deli such that, in addition to them continuing to provide matchday outdoor catering for our fans at both ends of the stadium, they will also be providing our players with a variety of post-match healthy pasta dishes to enable them to re-fuel quickly.
Also as part of this extended partnership, Lourdes Deli will enjoy first team shirt sleeve sponsorship rights for both home and away playing kits, as well as on all replica shirts too.
As well as operating from Haig Avenue on matchdays for both Southport’s home games and Everton’s under-21s home games, Lourdes Deli provides an outdoor catering service for festivals, parties, weddings and a whole variety of different events using only the finest local produce suppliers and fresh ingredients.
Lourdes Deli’s founder and proprietor Steph Collinson said: “This has been a whirlwind last 12 months for us at Haig Avenue and we are over the moon to be supporting Southport Football Club in this way. My family have been massive Port fans for many years and so ever since my parents christened me with the initials SFC, I have felt destined to work here in some role or other! Everybody at the Club has been so welcoming to the Lourdes Deli team and we are looking forward to keeping everybody well fed this season and beyond.”
Steve Dewsnip, Southport FC’s Head of Commercial & Operations said: “We have enjoyed working with Steph and her team this past season and are looking forward to further developing this in the months ahead. We are grateful to them for not only looking after our fans, but also their continuing support which will also now benefit our players with their vitally important post-match recovery.”
After appearing on the sleeve of our new away shirt during last Saturday’s 5-3 win at Boston United, the Lourdes Deli logo will be on display on the sleeve of our home shirts later today when we take on Peterborough Sports at Haig Avenue, kick-off 3pm.
