Southport Football Club Implements New Policy: All Children Must Be Accompanied by an Adult

In light of recent incidents at Haig Avenue, the club are unfortunately, and regrettably, left with no option other than to insist that all children aged 16 or below must be accompanied by an adult.

The Club adopts a zero tolerance approach to any behaviour that has the potential to endanger other fans. Haig Avenue is known as a welcoming, family club, and we will not let that be ruined by a minority.

Tickets for children aged 12-16 must now be purchased with an Adult ticket.

We reserve the right to request ID from anyone aged 17 and above.

Those juniors who have already purchased a ticket without an accompanying adult ticket will be offered a full refund.

We would also ask fans to note that the game against Chester on Easter Monday will be an all ticket game. There will be no cash turnstiles available on the day and we will not have tickets available for cash sale in the Club Shop or in the bar.

The club is currently reviewing footage of Saturday’s incidents and fans should note that any deemed to be involved and subsequently identified may subsequently be refused access to Southport Football Club.
