Southport Friends of Palestine Call for Gaza Ceasefire During Airshow

Visitors to Southport for the airshow on Saturday were also asked to support an immediate 
ceasefire in Gaza.  Southport Friends of Palestine held another vigil outside the Atkinson, to 
call on the government to demand an immediate ceasefire and for Israel to stop the brutal 
slaughter of innocent Palestinian civilians. 
 
 Some of the Southport residents again went over to Barclays Bank, to hand out leaflets highlighting 
Barclays role in investing in companies which supply arms and military technology to Israel.  A vigil is 
held every other Saturday outside the Atkinson at 12pm to 1pm.  The next vigil will be Saturday 27th 
July.
