Southport & King’s Lynn Town Supporters Encouraged to Wear Christmas Jumpers for Charity

On December 23rd we are encouraging supporters of both Southport & King’s Lynn Town to turn up in Christmas jumpers for their National League North clash. This is in aid of the Charity, Paper Cup Project.

Paper Cup Project started 7 years ago, with two women, a flask, and some sandwiches. Seeing that the homeless situation was getting worse in Liverpool, we wanted to do something to help. By sharing the stories of people on the streets, the volunteer team grew from two to over thirty. Last year they opened Paper Cup Coffee, a coffee shop where homeless people can come and enjoy a hot drink and some food, in nice surroundings, and be treated with dignity and have choice. They also run a pay it forward scheme where our customers can pay forward a coffee for our homeless friends to enjoy.

You can visit their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/papercupprojectLPL/?locale=en_GB

There will be various collection points around the ground where supporters can donate to the charity what they can. Homelessness is such a big issue around Christmas time so please jump aboard, turn up to the game in a Christmas jumper and give what you can to this wonderful charity.

We will also be collecting for Paper Cup Project on the Unofficial Supporters Coach to Curzon Ashton on Boxing Day.
