Southport Lifeboat Joins Search for Missing Person at Hightown

Shortly after our crew returned home from weekly training, the pagers sounded following a request from HM Coastguard to assist in the search for a missing person at Hightown.

The quad bikes left the station and conducted searches of the beach up to the River Alt, while our UAS (drone) deployed to undertake a similar search of the dunes and footpath network to the south of Hightown.
The missing person was located by Coastguard Rescue Teams, and our units were stood down and returned to station. Following wash-down, the crew left the boathouse shortly after 3am.
