Southport Lifeboat Quads called out to remains on the beach
A crew member speaking on behalf of the Lifeboat said...
Our quads were tasked by the Coastguard Operations Centre in Holyhead following reports from Merseyside Police of suspected remains on the beach.
Our quads left the boathouse and arrived on scene where they met with the police. It was soon realised that the remains were in fact a deceased seal that had washed up due to spring tides. With that information, the quads stood down and returned to station.
