Southport Lifeboat rescue despondent man from the beach

A spokesperson for the Lifeboat said...

Our assistance was requested by Merseyside Police to a despondent male on Southport Beach.

The ATV quad bikes left the station and entered the beach at Southport where they met with the male, who was then escorted off the beach by the police.

Due to the nature of the tide, the D-Class lifeboat made way to the launch site, but all units were stood down following the quick conclusion of the tasking.
