Southport man charged with threatening behaviour towards officers during drug search

Officers arrested three people following the discovery suspected drugs in Southport on Friday, 24 March.
At around 2.30pm officers were on patrol when they noticed a suspected drugs transaction in a Volvo estate which was later stopped on Marine Drive.

Two suspects were found with a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.

A 32-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man from Southport were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. They have been released under investigation.

A further search was conducted at a property on Forest Road where a man threatened to release several dogs on to officers.

Karl Andrew Lord, 33 years, of Forest Road, was arrested and charged with affray, possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis) and obstructing a search.
