Southport MP Damien Moore Announces Annual Christmas Card Competition
Local Member of Parliament Damien Moore has announced this year's annual Parliamentary Christmas Card competition, eligible for all Southport primary school students.
This November, primary schools across Southport have been invited to participate in the annual competition, with pupils asked to showcase their designs for the front cover of the Parliamentary Christmas Card.
Hundreds of entrants were received from across the Constituency last year, with Emma, aged 10, from Linaker Primary School, winning last year's competition, featuring 'Elf on a festively decorated shelf.'
Emma's design appeared on over 700 Christmas Cards, presented by Damien Moore MP to members of the public, His Royal Highness King Charles III, The Prime Minister, Members of Parliament, and charitable organisations across Southport.
Alongside Emma's successful entry featuring on over 700 Christmas Cards, Emma further received a framed photograph of the Prime Minister holding the winning entry, a congratulatory certificate, and an advent calendar, in recognition of her achievement.
This year's competition will run until the 24th of November, with all primary schools invited to participate.
Damien Moore, Member of Parliament for Southport, said:
"I am delighted once more to be hosting Southport's primary school Christmas Card Competition. With hundreds of yearly applicants, this competition demonstrates a fantastic opportunity for all children across the constituency to engage creatively with friends and family during the festive season. I truly look forward to seeing this year's fantastic applicants and their creative designs."
