Southport MP Damien Moore joins Age UK

Damien Moore MP joins Age UK to promote the services and support that they offer people across the United Kingdom.

Damien Moore, MP for Southport, met with Age UK’s to discuss the vital services they provide an ageing population across the UK and in his constituency of Southport. 

Of particular importance, they discussed how the right information and advice delivered in the right way can be life-changing for older people, who will growingly make up a larger proportion of our society over the coming decades.

We will all have times in our lives when we need to have reliable and independent information and advice. But it’s not always apparent where to find this. This is why Age UK, and the Age UK network, is committed to delivering vital information and advice to older people across the UK. This includes the Age UK Advice Line, which is open 365 days a year.

Damien Moore, MP for Southport, said:

“As the UK gets older, with just under a quarter of the population set to be sixty-five and over by 2043, it is essential that we continue to live healthy and happy lives in our retirement. That is why the amazing work done by Age UK is vital to keeping the UK moving forward.
