Damien Moore MP welcomes the Government fourth re-launch of the recruitment campaign to help expand and develop our adult social care workforce.

Local Member of Parliament, Damien Moore MP, welcomes the relaunch of the Government social care recruitment campaign to expand our care sector, reduce community-readmission waiting times, and increase carer capacity and expertise – while investing in our adult social care network for the next generation of our nation’s most vulnerable.

The ‘Made with Care’ programme represents an invaluable opportunity for anyone; irrespective of experience or qualification, to build a successful career within our expanding social care sector.

The campaign aims to demonstrate the incredible work that care workers perform, celebrating the way they empower the people they care for, and shine a light on the emotional rewards of the role to inspire more people to consider an adult social care career.

The ‘Made with Care’ programme demonstrates a £250,000,000 investment in our social care network, investing in care-applicant skills, opportunities, and career progression, provided through professional on-site/programme qualifications and development opportunities while enhancing sectoral recruitment and retention.

Candidate application submissions for the ‘Made with Care’ programme will run until March 2024, with additional campaign advertising supported on multiple platforms, including: ITVX, Sky Go, and Channel 4, alongside additional audio advertising on radio and digital channels, such as Spotify, Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, applications are provided through the following link:

Damien Moore, Member of Parliament for Southport, said:

“This year’s campaign capitalises on the success of three generations of the ‘Made with Care’ programme, which introduced 244,000 applicants to care opportunities in the last 12 months.

“Combined with the Government’s £7.5 billion investment in the social care estate, intent on reducing adult social care waiting times and increasing carer capacity, the ‘Made with Care’ reintroduction demonstrates our recognition and commitment to carers and the most vulnerable in our society.

“As Southport remains the premier location for respite services nationally, I am proud to see the Government’s continued commitment and investment in our critical and disabled care facilities, and holiday respite economy, ensuring both carers and our most vulnerable receive the support they deserve.

“I will continue to advocate on behalf of our large community of unpaid carers to secure funding to recognise and support the critical roles they perform in service of friends and family members with disability, illness, and mental health conditions.”
