Southport MP visits local college to take part in their celebration of National Apprenticeship Week

I recently spent the day at Southport College to participate in their celebration of National Apprenticeship Week.
This year's Apprenticeship Week focussed on the theme 'Build the Future', and was a great opportunity to celebrate apprentices' success and achievements, recognise the work of apprentices, colleges, and employers during the pandemic, and showcase how apprenticeships can help individuals develop the skills and knowledge required to prime them for a rewarding career.
Southport College hosted pupils from a number of local schools to showcase their offer, alongside local and regional employers who discussed job opportunities at their organisations with the students. I was delighted to speak to school staff, students, and employers, and see just how enthusiastic everybody involved were about National Apprenticeship Week.
