Southport MP welcomes Council decision to fly Ukraine flag over Town Hall

Following my letter to Sefton Council yesterday requesting that Southport Town Hall fly the Ukrainian flag in solidarity with Ukraine and its people, I wholeheartedly welcome the Council’s statement this afternoon that plans to do this are now underway.

I know all of us in Southport continue to stand firm with Ukraine, and I want to assure my constituents that the Government continues to look hour-by-hour at what further possible steps we can take in addition to the expansive list of sanctions unveiled by the Prime Minister yesterday.
