This week, I championed Southport's seaside economy in Parliament, urging the Secretary of State for Education to support further skill enhancement in sectors including hospitality, tourism, and coastal conservation.

The Secretary of State recognised our collaborative efforts with local colleges, employers, and businesses, while outlining plans for future developments in off-season study training, management apprenticeships, and work placements for students.

As always, I am committed to boosting our local seaside economy, and retaining local talent to secure a prosperous future for Southport.
