Southport On The Brink of Hitting 1 Million Fan Attendance Since 1978

match preview

Southport have a trip to Darlington on Saturday for what is a big game for both sides. The Kick Off is at 3pm.

If the gate at Darlington is 1363 or more we will have been watched by 1 million fans since entering Non League Football in 1978, that is really a nonsense stat but it is based on the official attendances reported at all our games!

We have received the following information from Darlington

The game at Blackwell Meadows will currently not be segregated and Southport fans will enter via the home turnstiles at the East of the ground. Southport fans will not have access to view the game from the East Stand (main home support stand) and this is clearly signed.

Darlington FC has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of homophobic/racist/misogynistic or targeted abuse. Perpetrators if identified will be ejected and details passed to Police and visiting club officials.  Blackwell Meadows is a no smoking/vaping ground and this will be strictly monitored, with ejection for none compliance.
