Southport's Efforts Fall Short in Defeat to Leamington

It was a much changed eleven with manager, Neil Danns opting for experience but despite a much improved performance it ended in defeat.
Southport started brightly and Jordan Slew had a great chance after 13 minutes to put us ahead but drew a fine save from Ravenhill in the Leamington goal.
Playing some neat and quick passing, the visitors were on top but couldn’t find the much needed goal that their endeavours deserved.
The reward did come in the shape of Arthur Gnahoua’s second goal of the season coolly finishing from 12 yards out.
It was all change after 60 minutes when the introduction of three Leamington subs seemed to galvanise the home side and the equaliser duly came in the 60th minute through Ant Lynn.
The tempo from the home side increased and they took the lead in the 75th minute through Ewan Williams.
Southport battled hard to get back in the game and created a couple of half chances but to no availa and it was disappointment all round at the end.
